About a week past, I adopted a 13 year oldish cat. Took her to the vet for a check up, she’s fine just conjuctivitus and possibly asthma. Have had her on antibiotics for that all for a hardly a days, it is starting to look better. Other than that, he said she was fine. I also have an 8 year old cat, he’s been within good health.
I just started them on new foods. The 13 year is eating old kitten chow (reccomended by the vet) because she needs to addition weight. The 8 year old is eating senior food because he is fat and needs to lose weight. I just started this novel diet a fewer days ago with canned foods from PetSmart, and I am sad to confess that I picked low quality foods. Sometimes they eat from all others dishes.
I noticed last night that they were both hacking. Once more, this morning aft eating. My 8 year old true cat has a history for eating his food at a very fast pace. Sometimes this does make him gag. Not sure about the older ane, since I haven’t had her that long.
I wont to feed them the Whiskas wet food that came in pouches. It was chunky shreds. This new canned food is… classic true cat recorded supplies that is cardinal big lump.
Point is, they are hacking a miniature more than normal. It seems like more of a hack than a gag. They haven’t gone their appetite, aren’t listless and are still very friendly and playful.
Just wanted to know whether I should Be attentive, or if this is sane? Reccomendations?
